Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has hailed Alexander Isak as the best striker currently playing a key role in the Magpies’ run to the Carabao Cup final.

Isak scored in the Magpies’ 2-0 first-leg win and was also impressive in Eddie Howe’s side’s last outing, although he didn’t get on the scoresheet. “
For me, he’s the best striker at the moment. There’s nobody better than him. We’re lucky to have him in the team and hopefully he can continue like this,” said Guimaraes.
The win takes Newcastle to their second final in three seasons as they look to secure their first trophy since 1969.
Isak played a key part in the victory and caused the central defensive duo of Gabriel and William Saliba plenty of problems.
And team-mate Guimaraes says there is not a better striker than him.
“For me he’s the best striker around,” he told แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ Sports.
“Nobody is performing better than him. We are lucky to have him and I hope he can keep it going.”
On his boss Howe, the Brazilian continued: “He’s amazing. We could not have a better manager.
“Today he won the game before the match; our shape was perfect. He deserves all the credit.”
“It will be a dream to lift the trophy and write my name in the history of the club. “It would be great to do that in my first season as captain,” Guimaraes added.
Newcastle will face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur in the final at Wembley on March 16.
