Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Manchester City should be hit with the same points deductions as Nottingham Forest and Everton if found guilty of financial rules breaches.

The Citizens are fighting a total of 130 cases against them for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations (initially 115) between 2009 and 2018 and are awaiting a verdict now.
Forest and Everton were each deducted four and six points respectively last season for Financial Fair Play breaches, and Scholes believes City should face the same punishment to ensure fairness. “It’s
difficult to say what would be the fairest punishment for Manchester City if they are found guilty. Let’s be fair,” Scholes said.
In an interview with Masters given to the Financial Times, เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย it was stressed that the verdict could yet been announced anytime before the end of the season.
But the outlet also explained that the independent panel itself would not decide on any sanctions the club might be set to receive.
Instead, this would involve a separate process, which could be subject to appeal by either Man City or the Premier League – much like the initial verdict itself.
This could mean that any potential punishment the 2023 Treble winners could face might not be meted out until some time – or even after – next season.
“Nottingham Forest and Everton have been punished as well so that would be a fair line.
“I’m not saying it has to be the same amount as Everton and Forest but I think it would be an important point.”
